Combat Commander: Europe
Combat Commander: Europe is a dynamic board game that captures the essence of the tactical battles of World War II in Europe. In it, two players engage in a strategic confrontation; one leads the Axis forces, while the other commands the Allies. The game is centered on "Fate" cards that players use to activate their units and make critical decisions on the battlefield. In each match, players strive to maneuver their troops around the map, attacking their opponent's units and securing control of strategic objectives. Success depends not only on strategy, but also on how players use their cards and respond to unforeseen events that arise during the game. The scenario's "objective" table offers a clear metric for evaluating progress and results, whether by destroying enemies or conquering territories. The game mechanics are interesting. There is no fixed sequence of moves, allowing each Time Segment to be dynamic. Turns are made up of "Orders" of cards, where each action can be decided at any time, leading to an unpredictable experience. Random events - which can be advantageous or challenging - introduce an extra layer of tension, making the matches different every time. In terms of scale, each hexagon on the map is equivalent to around 30 meters, while the units represent small groups, such as leaders or squads. This allows for a tactical representation that is faithful to real combat, where every move and decision is crucial. Combat Commander: Europe is not just a game, it's an immersive experience that brings the player to the heart of military strategy, inviting them to rewrite history with every match.Artists: Lee Brimmicombe-Wood; Chad Jensen

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME
Tips for playing
Here are some tips for doing better in the game Combat Commander: Europe:
- Learn the importance of terrain: Using terrain to your advantage can turn the game. For example, keeping your units in forests or cities provides additional cover.
- Manage your leaders well: Position your leaders to maximize the number of units they can command. They increase combat effectiveness and can inspire extra action.
- Take care of your line of sight: Always check and protect your line of sight. A careless advance can leave your units exposed to enemy fire.
- Use cards for unexpected tactics: Don't underestimate the power of cards. A well-timed move can turn the battle in your favor, so know your deck well.
- Move cautiously: Instead of advancing aggressively, consider tactical advances. Calculated moves can preserve your strength for critical moments.
- Emotional control: Stay calm even in difficult situations. Hasty decisions often lead to mistakes that the enemy can exploit.
- Practice scenarios: Familiarize yourself with different scenarios to improve your adaptability. Each experience provides valuable lessons for future matches.

GAME mechanics
- Campaign / Card Driven Battles - In Combat Commander: Europe, cards are the central engine of actions, determining what players can do in their rounds. Each card contains a combination of orders, actions and events. Strategic decisions revolve around when and how to use each card, offering an interesting layer of planning and surprise in decisive moves.
- Hexagonal Grid - The game board is divided into a hexagonal grid that represents the battlefield. This configuration allows free and strategic movement of units, better simulating real military tactics, where flanking positions and cover directly influence the success of confrontations.
- Variable Phase Order - The sequence of phases in each turn can change based on the cards played. This aspect creates unpredictability, forcing players to continually adapt their tactics without the security of a strictly linear cycle of events.
- Simulation - With a focus on simulating realistic World War II scenarios, Combat Commander: Europe offers an experience rich in historical detail. The game incorporates factors such as terrain, climate and troop morale for a more realistic recreation of the challenges faced by commanders at the time.
- Advantage Sheet - Players have the chance to gain temporary or permanent advantages through specific tokens. These tokens can represent trenches, artillery support or reinforcements, which become crucial in the critical phases of battles, allowing for strategic reversals.
