Zombicide: White Death

The long-awaited Zombicide expansion is back with Zombicide: White Death! Get ready to face hordes of zombies in an icy medieval setting in the town of Wintergrad. This edition not only introduces new survivors and enemies, but also fresh mechanics that promise to heighten the excitement of the game. Winter brings not only biting cold, but also dangers even more terrifying than the undead that roam the streets. Explore combat dynamics that focus on position tactics and strategy, taking advantage of the fortress's high walls to gain the upper hand over your opponents. Use cauldrons of hot tar to stop approaching enemies! With a cast of new survivors, each with their own unique abilities, you'll have additional tools to fight off the zombie horde. Rod weapons are perfect for ranged attacks, allowing you to defeat enemies without having to get close. Use the icy powers around you to freeze zombies in their tracks and stop them in their tracks. Beware, however, of the zones of ruin: the devastated buildings offer few resources, but represent an extra challenge during your battles. Finally, necromancers are on the prowl, creating waves of corruption that threaten your lighthouse. If they succeed in corrupting your source of power, hope will quickly fade. Zombicide: White Death is a dark and challenging journey that will test your skills and teamwork as you fight for survival in a world filled with the undead and harsh winters. Get ready to face death... again!

GAME mechanics

  • Action / Event: Players have a limited number of actions per turn, which can include moving, attacking or searching. Events triggered during the game directly influence strategies, such as increasing the number of zombies on the board or activating special abilities.
  • Scenario / Mission / Campaign: Zombicide: White Death is structured in scenarios that define specific objectives and victory conditions. Each mission can be played independently or as part of a larger campaign, where the results of one mission can affect the next, providing a continuous narrative that grows in complexity.
  • Cooperative: The game is entirely cooperative, requiring players to work together to achieve the objectives of the scenario. Cooperation is essential to face the growing zombie threat and make the best use of each character's individual skills.
  • Elimination of players: Although rare, players can be eliminated if their character takes more damage than their available life points. Elimination usually occurs when players fail to control hordes of zombies, making survival more challenging for those who remain.
  • Players with Different Skills: Each character has unique abilities that evolve as they level up, directly influencing the group's style of play and strategies. The skills offer variation in actions, such as greater attack capacity or more strategic moves.
  • Rolling dice: The resolution of combats and other actions is determined by rolling dice. The results on the dice influence the success or failure of attacks, quests and other events, adding an element of chance and unpredictability to each turn.
  • RPG: RPG elements are incorporated into the progress of the characters, who gain experience by defeating zombies and completing objectives. This advance allows for the customization of skills, reinforcing the aspect of role-playing and character development.
  • Modular tray: The board is made up of modular pieces that can be rearranged to create different maps for each mission. This modularity not only increases replayability but also allows for a personalized configuration of the playing space, adapting to the specific scenario.
