OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME
Tips for playing
Here are some tips for doing better in the game Monopoly Playmaster:
- Concentrate on acquiring complete properties to build houses and hotels faster than your opponents. This increases your chances of earning more rent.
- Visit underrated places like Baltic and Mediterranean; even cheap houses can be profitable.
- Groups colored orange and red are strategic. They are often the most visited due to their location on the board.
- Invest in improvements at strategic stages of the game: avoiding hasty purchases is crucial to ensuring liquidity.
- Negotiate intelligently: don't be afraid to propose trades that may seem disadvantageous at first glance, but which could guarantee you a strategic monopoly.
- Keep an eye on the Chance and Community Vault cards. Sometimes they represent surprises that drastically affect your progress in the match.
- Remember to manage your money carefully; avoid running out of funds, especially when going through the expensive property section of the board.

GAME mechanics
- Collecting Sets - The main objective in Monopoly Playmaster is to acquire properties that form complete sets. A strategic advantage is that, by completing sets, you can build houses and hotels, increasing the rent and income of opponents who stop at your properties.
- Auction / Bidding - When a player doesn't buy a property in their round, the game activates the auction mechanic. All players can bid, starting from any amount, offering an opportunity to acquire property at a potentially lower cost, or inflate the price to prevent a rival from easily winning it.
- Negotiation - Exchanging property with other players is crucial. This allows you to negotiate terms for completing sets or settling debts. Flexibility in this exchange can determine who prospers. For example, I've won by strategically exchanging a property I didn't need for two that completed my objective.
- Roll / Turn - Each round begins with the player rolling the dice to determine movement on the board. Your decisions after the move, such as whether to buy or leave a property up for auction, can have a lasting impact on the match.
- Move - After rolling the dice, players move their pawns around the board according to the number they get. The space where you stop defines your actions: buying property, paying rent, going to jail or collecting community/luck cards, thus shaping the dynamics of your strategy and the game itself.
