Cascadero
Cascadero is a fascinating strategy game that challenges players to restore order to a kingdom in crisis. You take on the role of a minister chosen by the newly crowned El Cascadero, with the mission of bringing prosperity to his people. Each minister has a specific focus: Agriculture, Crafts, Mining or Markets, and you must use your skills to unite the distrustful cities. In the game, the placement of pieces is essential. Your envoys must be positioned strategically and wisely, as they only become valuable when they form established groups or receive the seal of El Cascadero. Cities that have received royal messengers are especially advantageous, as they are more likely to collaborate and generate victory points. One of the things I like most about Cascadero is the decision between forming long chains of envoys or smaller groups. Each choice brings its own rewards and challenges, requiring you to think carefully about how to maximize your score. By triggering a city's score, you advance up the success column, generating bonuses that can completely change the course of the game, such as an extra turn or the replacement of an envoy. The game is highly replayable, thanks to the interaction between players and the variation in board configurations. The game only ends when a player reaches fifty points or can no longer play, creating a dynamic and engaging experience. Victory is won not just by counting points, but by skill in navigating the success columns, making each match unique and exciting. If you like strategic challenges, Cascadero is an excellent addition to your game collection.Artists: Ian O'Toole;

GAME mechanics
- Placing Parts - In Cascadero, each player takes it in turns to strategically place their pieces on available spaces on the grid. Placement needs to be careful, taking into account future moves and opponents' positions. The aim is to maximize opportunities to connect and control the area.
- Connections - The pieces have the ability to connect to each other, forming chains. The connections are crucial, as they often determine the player's score. The ability to create long chains can be decisive for victory.
- Hexagonal Grid - The game is played on a hexagonal grid, a format that adds a unique dimension to the planning, offering more connection possibilities than a traditional grid. This format encourages tactical creativity, requiring players to think in several directions.
- Movement on the Trail - As well as placing pieces, players can move them along the tracks on the board. This movement is crucial for changing the dynamics of the game, allowing players to correct previous mistakes or put pressure on opponents. Movement must be well calculated, as costs and benefits vary each turn.
