Last Friday

Last Friday is a strategy and deduction game that immerses players in a horror scenario inspired by classic slasher stories. In it, participants take on the roles of young campers who, on an apparently peaceful weekend, are faced with the threat of a psychopath hiding in the shadows of the campsite. The campers' aim is to survive and discover the killer's identity, while the player taking on the role of the psychopath tries to eliminate them one by one without being discovered. The game is divided into four acts: Arrival at Camp, The Hunt, The Massacre and the final chapter, where the dynamics change constantly. During the game, the campers need to join forces, explore the environment and make crucial decisions for their survival. At the same time, the killer uses cunning and strategy to launch his attack and return to action, creating growing tension. Last Friday provides an immersive experience full of twists and turns, testing both the campers' deductive skills and the psychopath's ability to keep his identity secret.

How to play Last Friday

Choose a number from 1 to 31, representing the days in a month.

Choose a letter from A to L, each representing the months from January to December.

Write down your choices in order and combine them, for example "15H" for August 15th.

The players alternate by choosing a date after the last one.

The date you choose cannot be in the same month as a date you have already selected.

The aim is to force the opponent to choose a date in December, the 31st. Whoever does so loses.

Main objective

The main objective of the Last Friday game is to recreate the experience of slasher movies from the 1980s, where players take on the roles of young camp monitors trying to survive a ruthless killer, while one player controls the killer in search of his victims; the game is divided into four distinct chapters that represent different nights, with objectives varying between escaping, surviving or eliminating the killer, immersed in an atmosphere of suspense and strategy.

Tips for playing Last Friday

Here are some tips for doing better in the game Last Friday:

  • Always keep an eye on the killer's movement patterns. He will often try to surround you, so plan effective escape routes.
  • Use the clues scattered around the board wisely to guess the killer's location. They are crucial to staying one step ahead.
  • Be strategic when choosing your action cards. They can be the difference between escaping or being captured.
  • When playing as the assassin, take advantage of dark areas and shortcuts to surprise the campers.
  • Work as a team. Collaborating with other campers increases your chances of survival.
  • Keep a balance between hiding and moving. Don't stand still for too long, but don't expose yourself too much either.

Mechanics of Last Friday

  • Campaign - Last Friday is played in a series of four interconnected chapters that tell the story of a horror camp. Each chapter has specific objectives and rules that guide the events of the game, providing a narrative and strategic progression.
  • Card-Based Battles - The confrontations between the killer and the campers are resolved by means of cards that determine the actions and results of the battles. Each card has effects and values that can change the course of the battles.
  • Players with Different Skills - Each player takes on the role of a character with unique abilities, which can help the campers survive or in pursuit of the killer. These abilities change the way players interact with the game and each other.
  • Team Play - The campers must cooperate in order to survive and defeat the killer. Teamwork is essential to share information, plan strategies and maximize the use of the characters' individual skills.
  • Memory - Players must remember past movements and actions to deduce the killer's possible positions and strategies, just as the killer must remember the campers' actions to predict their next moves.
  • Point-to-Point Movement - Players move their pieces along a map divided into points connected by trails. Each move and choice of path has a strategic impact, whether to find items, avoid the killer or prepare ambushes.
  • Secret Positioning - The killer moves around the map secretly, writing down his movements in a notebook. Campers must deduce the killer's location without direct visual information, relying on clues and instincts.
  • Deduction - The game requires campers to use deductive skills to discover the killer's location and intentions. They must interpret clues and traces left during the game to anticipate movements and avoid deadly confrontations.
