Porto
Porto is a board game that captures the essence of the vibrant Portuguese city, known for its rich history and famous Port wine. In this competitive game of tile placement and strategy, players become architects of this metropolis, using cards to build floors and transform the cityscape. Each turn, you can choose to buy cards or build floors. When buying cards, the total value cannot exceed 3, ranging from 1 to 3. If you choose to build, you must discard two cards: the value of one determines how many floors will be built, while the color of the other defines the shade of the buildings. With only three cards in hand, the construction possibilities multiply, allowing you to explore different strategies. The buildings erected are a common asset, which makes interaction with your opponents essential. By building, you not only earn points, but also make it easier for your opponents to act. The dynamics of the game therefore require players to always be aware of other people's moves, creating an atmosphere of fierce competition. As well as building floors, there are opportunities to score bonus points, complete public contracts and make strategic combinations. The aim is to shape the city to meet the requirements of private contracts in order to maximize your score at the end of the game. However, every wrong decision can open up new possibilities for your competitors. The end of the game is triggered when a specific number of buildings have been completed, and the player who has accumulated the most points is crowned the winner. Porto is not just a strategy game; it's an experience that combines planning, social interaction and the thrill of competition, reflecting the dynamic spirit of the city that gives it its name.Artists: Luís Levy Lima;
