How to play The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth

To begin, organize the hero figures, decks, tokens and terrain cards. Each player chooses a hero and takes the corresponding deck. Prepare the starting skill decks and distribute the damage and inspiration tokens.

Set up the map as indicated in the app, which guides the adventure. Follow the instructions to define initial enemies and obstacles, placing them as indicated. At the start of the turn, each hero performs two actions between moving, attacking or interacting with the environment.

Skill tests are solved using cards from each hero's personal deck instead of dice. Check the result against what is required to succeed. Use the inspiration tokens to improve the test result if necessary.

Manage the stress and damage received by the hero during the campaign. At the end of each mission, adjust the deck with new skills acquired and prepare for the next mission as the app indicates.

The game is cooperative, so work together to overcome the challenges and progress through the narrative. The app guides you through the story, so follow its instructions to ensure that the narrative develops correctly.
