Jerusalem: Anno Domini

Ierusalem: Anno Domini transports players to the spring of 33 AD, in the midst of a crucial moment in history. The city of Jerusalem is abuzz with the arrival of Jesus of Nazareth, who is preparing to celebrate Easter in the company of his apostles. Each player takes on the role of a community of followers, coming from different villages and towns around, with a single objective: to position their followers as close as possible to the Last Supper. Developed by Carmen G. Jiménez and illustrated by L.A. Draws, the game can be played individually or in groups of up to four participants. Players compete to win points by getting their followers to sit at the table, where the proximity of Jesus and the apostles determines the amount of victory points at the end of the game. Accumulating parable tiles and offering tokens also contributes to the score. The board displays different key locations: the marketplace, the desert, the mountain, the lake and the temple. Sending followers to these points offers resources such as stones, bread, fish and denarii, as well as cards that enable different actions. Players can choose to listen to parables, change places or perform favors, always keeping an eye on the time, as the Sanhedrin's patience is limited. The cards are the heart of the game, each representing one of the five main locations, and enabling combinations that will bring the apostles to the table. Card management and organizing the followers around Jesus are crucial to maximizing points. With a rich and dynamic theme, Ierusalem: Anno Domini promises intriguing challenges. It is an invitation for players to devise intelligent strategies, making the most of their resources and followers. This is a game for those looking for both excitement and depth in their gameplay!
